If you have recently registered for an online course at Meridian Community College:

 

You will need to have regular access to a reliable computer and internet access.

 

Below is a list of resources you will use to participate in your course:

 

Canvas: Located at http://meridiancc.instructure.com, Canvas is the point of access for course assignments, supporting materials, grades, etc… You will need to check your Canvas account regularly (at least 3x a week) in order to be successful in your course. You will not be able to access the course or eBook (if applicable) in Canvas until the first day of class.

 

Eaglenet: Located at https://luminis.meridian.mcc.cc.ms.us/cp/home/displaylogin, Eaglenet is a MCC web-based application where students can access information about classes, grades, and accounts. With Eaglenet, you can view your current and past schedule(s), add/drop classes, access grades from current and previous terms, and view account information, including financial aid status. Also on Eaglenet, you will be able to access your MCC student email account. You should check this email account frequently to stay up to date on various activities/events, deadlines, and important notices on campus.

 

Proctored Exams: Located at http://www.meridiancc.edu/elearning, proctored exam information can be found. You will be able to find out information regarding scheduling a proctored exam at MCC, ProctorU, or other locations. Each online course requires at least one but no more than three proctored exams each semester.

 

Library: Located at http://www.meridiancc.edu/library, the MCC online library offers a service that provides students with access to electronic journal articles, newspapers, magazines, and more through the Mississippi Electronic Libraries Online (MELO). These resources can be found through a searchable database in the MELO site.

 

NetTutor: Located with your Canvas course, NetTutor is a free, online, live tutoring service that is available 24/7 to all MCC students. This product offers tutoring in the areas of Math, Sciences, Writing and English, IT and Computer Science, Nursing and Allied Health, Foreign Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences, Accounting, Economic, and Business.

 

Refund Policy:

Prior to the first class day, a 100% refund will be given. It is the student’s responsibility to officially withdraw from any and all courses.
